Net Metering
This policy allows customers to sell excess power that they are not using back to the utility for a 1:1 credit. Meaning in sunny summer months, your system will over produce and save up credits for the winter months when your system isn’t producing as much.
Last year, electricity went up 19.7% in the Midwest. With the primary source of power being from fossil fuels, these prices will continue to rise. There are already rate increases scheduled due to double current rates over the next decade
